This stunning cottage has been finished to a very high standard and decorated with a heritage palette that accentuates the period features in a contemporary fashion.
The living room is at the front of the cottage, so not only enjoys views of the garden but benefits from the south facing aspect.

The country style kitchen, located at the rear of the cottage, is equipped with handmade cupboards, large pantry, oak worktops, metro splashback tiles, Belfast sink and beautiful exposed brick flooring. A stable door from the kitchen leads to the outside access, and stairs provide access to the first floor. There are also useful under-stairs storage cupboards.
Upstairs, the first floor comprises of two bedrooms and the bathroom.
The main bedroom is to the front had has exquisite views across thatched rooftops to the rolling hills beyond, the perfect view to enjoy with a cuppa in bed! There are stylish built-in wardrobes and draws across the whole of one wall and reclaimed oak floorboards (believed to have been reclaimed from an old brewery) which give this room a unique look.
The second bedroom is a single room and is located at the rear. Again, this room benefits from built-in storage.
The bathroom is fitted with a stylish white suite, including a shower over the bath, and features gold tapware and striking navy accent walls which compliment each other so well.
The secluded south facing garden is to the front of the property and is a very pretty cottage garden with winding brick path, lawn area, mature tree and fabulous stocked flower beds providing colour all year round. At the end of the garden is useful storage shed and space for bins.
The combination of these charming details and the desirable location make this property an appealing country retreat.

The Owner Loves - “I feel incredibly lucky to have found and lived in Poppy Cottage. I remember when I first came to view the property on a hot summers day, making my way along the brick pathway through the cottage garden and past the gorgeous pear tree which was full of pears!
It’s cliche I know, but I fell in love with this cottage immediately, it has such a lovely feel to it and the previous owners had renovated Poppy Cottage with an obvious amount of compassion.
Waking up on the first morning with that view and the church bells ringing in the distance…bliss! The open fire during the winter is super cosy too!
It’s been absolutely perfect for for me, Ramsbury and the surrounding area is totally stunning in all seasons with some beautiful walks and an abundance of wildlife to see, having the river Kennet chalk stream on the doorstep is lovely…look out for the brown trout. With so much to offer for a relatively small village, it’s quite literally picture book perfect. But this chapter for me has to end (and a perfect chapter it’s been) as I make the move further west to Somerset. I’ll miss this dear little cottage but I’ll definitely not be a stranger to Ramsbury.
I have no doubt that the next lucky owner of Poppy Cottage will enjoy it as much as I have’
Kim Loves - 'Gosh this really is the most idyllic cottage with such a lovely feel. The pretty south facing cottage garden is the perfect spot to listen to the birds and enjoy the tranquillity that life in Ramsbury offers.'
